As a fast-growing container company, we are looking for young talent! We are looking to expand our team with a junior operations officer. Who exactly are we looking for?
Your position on the pitch
As the operations officer, you will be the young midfielder who will be responsible for voor everything that happens to our containers. From procurement to delivery to the customer. You don't do this alone, of course. You are part of a close-knit team; a team of winners!
Your task
As soon as the order confirmation arrives, the ball is in your court. You make sure the requested container gets from A to B. On time, safely and in good condition. Under the professional guidance of your coach, you work closely with your teammates, on and off the field. You have intensive contact with the account managers, suppliers, transporters and depots. You play the game from a commercial point of view, with insight and passion. You deal with order processing, arrange storage and transport. You are closely involved in purchasing and you are responsible for the quality of the containers. You take care of inspections and coordinate any repairs. You are the lynchpin in the after sales process with our customers. As a midfield inspector, you find yourself at the heart of our field. No two days and no two assignments are the same. This means that you sometimes have to switch quickly and be able to sprint when necessary. It is important that you keep an overview, work accurately and meticulously and always keep your eye on the ball.

Sedna Containers is an ambitious company in Landsmeer, close to Amsterdam. We rent, sell and modify containers according to customer specifications. In fact, 'container company' does not do us justice: we are a creative party that devises and implements specific solutions for and with customers. We do this for national and international customers. Besides the well-known 'standard' containers, customers can come to us for customised solutions. This includes tailor-made residential and office projects. Or high-quality containers for offshore and new industries such as renewable energy. We also offer solutions for events and festivals. We have been around since 2014 and are growing fast; we have big plans and hefty ambitions! Once you are in, you don't have to leave: with us, you can start young and grow old(er) very happily. Or start old and immediately feel young again!

We are a close and motivated team that goes for the win. We are not waiting for a draw: we want to be at the top of the left-hand row. Give everything for ninety minutes and then go into the third half refreshed. Because with us, there is always room for relaxation and fun. We can be sharp with each other if necessary and then toast just as hard on Friday afternoon when we have finished the job together.
What can you expect from your new club?
Working at Sedna is dynamic. A container is a container! - except at Sedna. With us, every solution is different, just like every working day. Then it's nice to have some basic securities in your player contract. As a club, we offer you:
- Full-time employment;
- A salary indication between €2,600 and €3,200 (based on full-time), depending on age and experience;
- a nice and challenging bonus scheme that could amount to several months' salary
- a phone and laptop on loan;

How do you get a basic place at Sedna?
You fit well in the team, have good communication skills and want to help build a fast-growing organisation that has the ambition to play in the absolute top of the container industry. You are meticulous, analytical and work in a structured way. You don't wait for the ball to come to you, but go get it yourself. You are eager to learn and a good team player. We ask of you:
- MBO 4, HBO thinking and working level
- 0 to 3 years' experience in a similar position;
- good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
- adequate knowledge and command of Microsoft Office
Possession of driving licence B is a plus.
